About the initiative
Tree planting at the Itaquaquecetuba Ecological Park
The planting took place at the Ecological Park at Rua Cabrália Paulista, 100, Estação, Itaquaquecetuba, São Paulo state (postal code 08571-020). The initiative had the essential support of the City of Itaquaquecetuba, led by Mayor Eduardo Boigues Queroz, and of the Secretary of the Environment, Maria Cristina Soares dos Santos Perpétuo. We are sincerely grateful for their support.
Planting trees is one of the most effective ways to fight climate change and protect our natural environment. Besides absorbing carbon dioxide, trees provide shade, shelter and habitat for local wildlife, significantly improving our community’s quality of life.
EMEB Vereador Augusto dos Santos, a municipal public school, played a central role in the event. Students, teachers and school staff came together to make the day a great success. Together, we planted a variety of native tree seedlings, promoting reforestation and biodiversity in our city. This planting is an inspiring example of how local action can have a global impact. The trees we plant today will help build a healthier, more sustainable environment for future generations.
Planting seedlings with EMEB Vereador Augusto dos Santos was a memorable, transformative experience. We thank everyone involved for their dedication to protecting and preserving our environment. This is just the beginning of our ongoing efforts to make our community greener and more conscious. Together, we can make a difference. Stay tuned for more exciting environmental initiatives!
